Kimobetsu, Hokkaidō

Kimobetsu (喜茂別町 Kimobetsu-chō?) is a town located in Abuta District, Shiribeshi, Hokkaidō, Japan.

As of 2008, the town has an estimated population of 2,580 and a density of 14.26 persons per km². The total area is 189.51 km².

A planned merger of municipalities will be implemented around March 31, 2010; the merger will combine Kimobetsu and Rusutsu; both are in Abuta District and in Shiribeshi Subprefecture.[1]
